FAQ

Common questions about working with Breakpath.

Isn't a 7-day build just rushed, low-quality code?

No. Seven days works because we cut the build down to the single most valuable user action and execute it with a senior architect using AI-augmented engineering — not a junior team padding hours. Scope is locked Day 1, you see a working demo every evening, and the result runs on the same production stack used by companies far larger than yours. Speed here is surgical, not sloppy.

What stack do you build on, and can another developer take it over?

Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Supabase (Postgres), Stripe, and Vercel — the industry-standard stack, not a proprietary Breakpath framework. Any competent web developer can open the repo and be productive on day one. There is nothing to rebuild and no platform to escape.

Am I locked into Breakpath after launch?

Never. On Day 7 the codebase, domain, and every account are transferred into your name. We also set you up with AI Edit Access — VS Code wired to Claude — so you can change copy, swap images, or add small features yourself in plain English. You can hire any developer in the world tomorrow. You never have to call us again unless you want to.

What happens after Day 7 — am I on my own?

You're supported, not dependent. You leave with a 30-day roadmap, AI Edit Access to keep iterating yourself, and an optional $300/mo maintenance plan if you'd rather we handle updates. Most founders run for months on AI Edit Access alone. The next sprint is there when you're ready to expand.

Why is this $12,500 when agencies quote $80k–$250k?

Cheaper price, not cheaper work. Agencies bill discovery phases, project managers, and a scope-change buffer, then run an average 45% over budget. Fixed scope removes all of that, and AI-augmented senior engineering does in days what used to take a team months. You pay for the outcome, not the overhead. We break the math down in The $150K MVP Quote Decoder.

How can I trust handing my idea to you for a week?

Scope is locked on Day 1, you get a working demo every evening, and you own 100% of the code and IP on Day 7 — there's nowhere for the work to hide. We'll sign an NDA on request. The structure is built so you're never out ahead of what you can see.

Do I own the work?

Completely. The full codebase, every account, and all IP are yours, transferred on Day 7 and registered in your name. No retainer is required to keep the lights on.

What if my idea is too big for 7 days?

We narrow the sprint to the single highest-value surface — the one user action that creates real value — and ship that live. It's the most valuable first step toward your vision, not the whole roadmap. Future sprints expand from there.

I already sell on Whop, Shopify, or Gumroad — can you migrate me?

Yes. That's the Platform Exit Sprint: we rebuild your business as software you own, port your data and customers, and cut over with zero downtime — payments moving direct to your own Stripe. See the Own Your Platform page for how it works.

How does the deposit work?

The deposit reserves your sprint week and filters for real commitment. It counts toward your total, and it's refundable if Breakpath cancels. Final payment is due 24 hours before kickoff.

Is there a contract?

Yes — short and founder-friendly. You'll see it after the deposit. Fixed price, fixed scope, full IP transfer, no surprises.
